Around the corner the yoke of the wind
Sven Harrys Konstmusem
9/10 2020 - 4/4 2021

The exhibition Behind the Corner the Yoik of the Wind depicts a geographical and cultural landscape that is distant and at the same time close. A windswept face in the midnight sun, a pile of boards under tarpaulins in a messy backyard, large-scale industry, imprints in the ground that tell of belonging. Duchamp's bottle dryer, jawbone from pure compound in protest, windy weather in a mobile phone, Orion across the road on a pitch black day, a squirrel tail, functional clothing and bare scales are fragments of stories that can be found in the exhibition regardless of time and place. A contrasting and complex existence is repeated every now and then through the difficult, beautiful and humorous in works that all carry on several layers of Sápmi. Works that speak of both the specific and the universal - concrete and at the same time changeably elusive.
