The exhibition revolves around an exploration of unwillingness: refusing to make decisions, to act with intention, and, above all, to act without purpose. It is a visual gesture that can be likened to playing too close to the edge. It is a risk, but it is also wonderful to let the human animal simply live. In ’Bita handen’, unwillingness takes on a physical form, consisting of oil paint and shape-cut wood that resists everything and nothing.
