Konstsällskapet Våga Se

The art society Våga Se is Sweden's foremost art club and is part of Galleri Helle Knudsen. The club was founded in 1992 with the aim of supporting contemporary art and creating an opportunity for everyone to own and experience good art.

Today we have about 3,000 members across the country. We have members with a great burning interest in art, beginners who want to learn more and find an unpretentious way into the art world, companies who want to decorate their premises and other art associations that need works to raffle off in their art lotteries.

But artists also support our business. Every year, three artists are given the task of creating graphic sheets or sculptures for us. The works are distributed to our members as a membership benefit. Over the years, many artists have created works for our members. Among others Ulf Gripenholm, Madeleine Pyk, Carl Johan De Geer, Marianne Lindberg De Geer, Britta Marakatt-Labba, Helene Billgren and Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd. Today we have an art collection with over 150 different works by over 50 different artists.

In addition to the artwork that our members can choose each year, we also organize a large art lottery. Every seventh membership gives a profit, the value of the first prize is always at least SEK 25,000. After we have bought in all the winnings that are drawn, all surpluses go to art scholarships. In 2020, we were able to proudly award 5 scholarships to promising artists.
