About the gallery

For nearly four decades, Helle Knudsen has run galleries across Sweden with unwavering determination. In 1999, Galleri Helle Knudsen emerged, a chronicle that has unfolded through different locations in Stockholm; Södermalm, Östermalm, Enskede, and now finds its abode at Hantverkargatan 18-20, in the heart of Stockholm.

Our space is a sanctuary for contemporary art, paintings and original graphics is our focus. A carefully curated ensemble of approximately 60 artists, both established and emerging. Notably, the esteemed Konstsällskapet Våga Se, Sweden's biggest art club, finds its home here as well. With a national reach, the club ardently champions contemporary art, democratizing access to art ownership and appreciation.

Dedicated to nurturing the emerging voices in Swedish art, we perpetually present debut exhibitions. Additionally, our collaboration with the art club culminates in the issuance of a minimum of two art scholarships annually, amplifying our commitment to the arts.
