Galleri Helle Knudsen is pleased to present Moa Holm Niklasson's first solo exhibition. The exhibition Samlingen (The Collection) is shown in the gallery's showroom and presents a collection of memories and feelings the artist carries with her. Some are small, others larger. But they all need to be present.
We meet twelve characters: the stock market shark, the rat king, the rat in the Yatzy dice, and others who were born from different conditions. Holm Niklasson sees them as guests around a table. Each with their own ways of being, with their own stories. Together, they create an atmosphere that she herself cannot control, only observe. She works with themes that can feel both humorous and serious at the same time. For her, humour is a tool for understanding seriousness, a way of creating balance that reflects how life often is.
Moa Holm Niklasson was born in 1996 and raised in Stockholm. In the spring of 2025, she completed her three-year bachelor's degree at Konstfack, specialising in ceramics and glass. During her student years, she has primarily worked with sculptures in stoneware clay, often with colourful glazes. In the summer of 2025, she participated in the graduation exhibition Blixtvisit at Sven Harrys Konstmuseum.
