Collection: Anna Rabe

Anna Rabe was born in 1950, she lives and works at Orust. She has studied at La Grande Chaumier in Paris and Konstfack and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm. Her work has been shown in a large number of solo and group exhibitions and is also represented at, among others, the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, the Gothenburg Art Museum and a number of municipalities and regions.

Anna has been painting for as long as she can remember. Her mother died when Anna and her twin sister were born and in the chaos that became her life, drawing and painting were her security. The colors became her word and so it has continued. The speaking words became an obstacle, but the painting created freedom and context.
