Helena Elfgren

Helena Elfgren is a graphic artist and painter and her interest is man and his progress in relationships and as a factor in the fate of the planet. She does not work with clenched fists or clear programming. Rather, we see her artistic commitment emerge as joy and curiosity about the different conditions of life, structured in all its diversity.

She seeks stone surfaces, unicellular life forms, the organic and here in this meeting magic arises that balances on the border between imaginative and non-imaginative. Her paintings, which are usually chalk paintings, are extremely rich in shades of the kind we can find in different lighting when we go really close to the motifs.
