Robert Russell is an Irish artist born in Dublin. He began his art education in 1979 at Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art & Design where he specialized in sculpture but he also worked with painting and graphics. In 1980 he won the Taylor Art Competition for a painting and also received the Alfred Beit Award and the Norah Guinness Award before completing his education in 1993. Since 2007, Robert is the Studio Director and Master Printer at Graphic Studio Dublin. His work is included in collections such as The National Gallery of Ireland, The Chester Beatty Library and The British Library.
