The artist Märta König in conversation with Anders Lundmark (former gallerist and art advisor) about her current exhibition "Förvandling"  (Transformation) at Galleri Helle Knudsen shown 12.09 - 05.10.

Märta König's work is characterized by spontaneity and openness to the unexpected. Her main medium is painting, but she is also drawn to drawing, sculpture and objects. By working impulsively and without analysis, she lets her experiences, memories and impressions, conscious and unconscious, guide the creation. This method gives her work a unique dynamic, where each brush stroke is a reaction to an inner and outer dialogue.

König describes his artistic process as an interplay between inner and outer worlds, where painting becomes a guide, a way to follow visual impressions and the path that opens up, step by step. She is inspired by the sociologist Hartmut Rosa's concept of resonance, where one allows oneself to be called by the external world and responds to its impulses, which leads to an inner transformation. The nature of resonance, which cannot be controlled, means that the creative process for Märta König becomes a matter of being flexible and open to transformation.
