Collection: Ailbhe Barrett
Ailbhe Barret is an Irish artist who started painting full time when she was 18 years old. Initially, she was interested in historical techniques in oil painting and how this facilitated communication between the artist and the viewer. She later began studying graphics at Limerick Printmakers and Graphic Studio Dublin. There she investigated the relationship between etching, drawing and painting and the important place graphics had in contemporary art and through art history.
