Collection: Carola Kastman

Carola Kastman was born in 1968 in Ulricehamn. Lives and works in Stockholm.

Aesthetically, Carola Kastman is attracted by color scales in black, gray and brown.  She likes the dirty, not quite perfect. The Swedish melancholy exists as a veil over the paintings and her brushstrokes follow the Scandinavian seasons.

The paintings  encompassing up to fifty different layers, she is fascinated by structures that she sees as walls of different stories
