Collection: Maja Möller
Maja Möller (b. 1990) is a Swedish artist based in Uppsala and is currently studying the Craft! master’s programme with a focus on textiles at Konstfack. Using tapestry weaving, embroidery, and knitting as her primary means of expression, Möller repeatedly explores themes such as illusion and shadow effects. Fascinated by how the brain processes, distorts, and filters information, she examines how our visual perception can be deceived and how artworks can appear to distort reality or move between different dimensions. Inspired by optical illusions, her practice often revolves around the search for a solution, where the search itself may be more important than whether any solution actually exists.
