Astrid Sylwan (b. 1970) lives and works in Stockholm. In 2005, she obtained her master's degree in Fine Arts from Konstfack, and since then she has established herself as one of Sweden's prominent painters. She works with strong colors that are layered upon each other. She has exhibited both in Sweden and internationally, she has been awarded several scholarships and is represented at, among others, the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, the Swedish Arts Council, Malmö Art Museum, and the Ståhl Collection.
