Astrid Sylwan (b. 1970) lives and works in Stockholm. In 2005, she obtained her master's degree in Fine Arts from Konstfack and has since established herself as one of Sweden's prominent painters. She works with strong colors that are layered upon each other. She has exhibited in Sweden and internationally, has been awarded several grants, and is represented at, among others, the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, the Swedish Arts Council, the Malmö Art Museum, and the Ståhl Collection.
