The silkscreen is inspired by the embroidery The Crows (1981). The work depicts the dramatic events of the Alta protests in the 1980s. In Sámi mythology, there is a belief in the significance of different animals and what they symbolize. Crows symbolize authority. They rule over others, spare no means and seize everything that comes their way.
