Lisa Larson (1931-2024) began her career in the 1950s. She was educated at the Slöjdföreningen's school, now the University of Design and Crafts, in Gothenburg 1949–54 and was discovered by Stig Lindberg when one of her works won a prize in a Scandinavian design competition. He invited her to work for a year at Gustavsbergs Fabriker, where he was the artistic director. She stayed for twenty-six years.
