Margareta Röstin was born in 1942 and lives and works in Stockholm. She was educated at Konstfack 1961-1966 and has exhibited at, among others, Galleri Helle Knudsen, Konstnärshuset in Stockholm, Jakobsbergs Konsthall, Härnösands Konsthall, Nacka Konsthall and Lilla Galleriet in Umeå.
Margareta's inspiration often comes from art history. In several of the graphic magazines she has integrated Leonardo Da Vinci's painting "The Lady with the Ermine". A painting that she was fascinated by in connection with an exhibition in Malmö in 1994. The nature theme is also clear as trees in different shapes are recurring. Some pictures are supplemented with her own handmade paper, which is one of her specialties.
