Mikael Wahrby was born in 1952 in Hägersten and he still lives and works there today. In the 1970s he was a student at the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm, where he also worked as a lecturer in copper printing from1994 to 2010. Since the end of the 1970s, he has been active in his own copper printing workshop.

Pålsundet
Between Långholmen and Södermalm lies Pålsundet. Västerbron's steel arch is reflected in the strait and forms an oval that frames boat sheds and the classic buildings of the Old Town.
