The Water Palace
When I was walking over the Vasa Bridge one spring day, I saw a building that seemed to float on the water. In the middle of central Stockholm there is a small, small island, an islet, called Strömsborg and is the city's smallest island. Here there was a restaurant, bathhouse and bowling alleys. The current building was rebuilt in 1923-1930 and the architect was then Ragnar Östberg.

A curved roof and a uniform color enhance the lightness of the elegant "Water Castle". On the left in the picture is Norstedt & Söner's book printing house, like a castle this building also rises out of the water, with a tower called the perch's tail.
