Viktor Hjertén (b. 1983) lives and works in Falun. He primarily works at the Falu Graphic Workshop, but also in his studio outside Falun. Hjertén lives close to nature, which is where he draws his inspiration from – forest, sea, mountains, and lake. Moods and essences from feelings and experiences during stays in the aforementioned environments.

In his work process, he often uses somewhat unconventional materials such as construction plastic, recycled plastic bags, and tape, which he then uses to create his printing plates. The materials he prints on can also vary from Hahnemühle paper and wallpaper to other construction materials and plastic.
