Collection: Jet-te L. Ranning
Jet-te L. Ranning (b. 1954, lives and works in Odense, Denmark). Ranning’s painting exists in the space between the figurative and the abstract. Her works are built up in multiple layers using oil, acrylic, and marble dust, creating a light, almost veil-like transparency. Through cracks in the surface, underlying layers of color emerge, generating a play between structure and motif. Her painting both captivates the eye and invites interpretation.
She often draws inspiration from natural forms, ornamentation, and textile patterns. Over the course of her artistic development, her palette has shifted from darker tones to lighter, more graphic expressions, imbued with a clear sense of stillness and air.
