Jet-te L. Ranning (b. 1954, lives and works in Odense, Denmark). Ranning’s painting moves in the borderland between the figurative and the abstract. Her works are built up in multiple layers using oil, acrylic, and marble dust, creating a light, almost veil-like transparency. Through cracks in the surface, layers of color emerge, forming a play between structure and motif. It is a kind of painting that both captivates the eye and invites interpretation.e eye and opens up possibilities for interpretation.
