Collection: Mikael Wahrby

Mikael Wahrby was born in 1952 in Hägersten and he still lives and works there today. In the 1970s he was a student at the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm, where he also worked as a lecturer in copper prints 1994-2010. Since the end of the 1970s, he has been active in his own copper printing workshop.

In his creative process, he starts with a pencil drawing which is then drawn in reverse on a primed copper plate. The plate is etched in several layers before being printed on copper printing paper.
